Kane Manufacturing’s network of Independent Sales Representatives (ISRs) has recently expanded with the addition of Michael Gilbert, owner and operator of M A Gilbert, Inc. Gilbert has three decades worth of experience within the building products industry, including employment with well-known, international outfits such as YKK and Kawneer.
As a newly appointed ISR, Michael Gilbert is responsible for increasing awareness of Kane Manufacturing products in the southeastern construction market. His territory encompasses the states of Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina. Gilbert plans to meet with architects, specification writers and specialty contractors in his area to educate them about the benefits of choosing Kane’s division 5 and division 8 products.
Kane Manufacturing’s Vice President of Sales, Glenn Smith, said, “I’m confident that Mike’s dynamic energy, broad skill set and proven track record in the architectural aluminum industry will drive exposure of our railings and security screens to the next level. Michael Gilbert is familiar with all facets of building products from drafting and product estimating, to product representation and brand management. Aside from his involvement in AIA education programs throughout his career, Gilbert also has a deep understanding of how construction documents are created and managed. He has received numerous awards for his efforts including a highest volume award from previous employer, YKK, in 2005 and is also known as “Mr. ProTek”, due to his expertise within YKK’s hurricane protection division.
