This year, the Kawneer exhibit, shared with its Traco division, will feature its comprehensive fenestration offering, which includes high-performing curtain walls, storefront framing systems and entrances along with sun shading, impact resistant products and windows from Traco. Also returning to the event are Kawneer’s popular AIA-registered Expo Education Programs, which will be conducted inside the exhibit’s dedicated learning center

Exploring this year’s convention theme, “Regional Design REVOLUTION: Ecology Matters,” Kawneer will highlight environmentally responsible products developed to address design and market challenges, many of which go beyond current code requirements and deliver to requirements that are yet to come. The company’s commitment to energy efficiency and thermal performance as well as security and impact resistance has brought about the introduction of several products that provide value in the form of greater design flexibility and opportunity. Additionally, Kawneer’s dedication to delivering best-in-class aesthetics ensures the company’s products and services stay ahead of the evolving world of architecture. Highlights of the exhibit include, but are not limited to:

Throughout the convention, Kawneer will once again offer its AIA-registered Expo Education programs. These 15-minute programs provide a convenient format for architect education, hands-on product interaction and conversations with product experts. Several sessions will be offered daily and can qualify toward AIA learning units. Programs include:
Opportunities for Shading in Division 8: Glass & Glazing: How to harvest daylight and minimize solar heat gain is a critical part of designing today’s energy efficient buildings. Attendees will discover how shading with Division 8 products can play a major role.
Steel Framing Systems for Design and Safety: This program will examine steel curtain framing system design options and capabilities including increased structural capacity, fire protection and defense against radiant heat. The session will also discuss specific structural conditions, especially life safety issues, when steel solutions are preferred for their ability to exceed the capability of aluminum.
Commercial Window Options and Performance: Attendees will be given an introduction to navigating through the wide range of commercial window products offered today. This session will explore and discuss the differences between the many configurations and performance levels of commercial windows.
