
Leeco® Steel, announced the promotion of Sam Murphy to account manager, and the appointment of John Faverty to sales manager.
Murphy will focus on growing key accounts in the North region, while Faverty will be responsible for processing business development in the east, central and service center sales regions.
“Over the past couple of years, Sam has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a willingness to take ownership in challenging situations,” said Walt Quinlan, director of sales, north at Leeco Steel. “His ability to build relationships, manage customer needs and identify opportunities has helped strengthen Leeco’s position with several key accounts.”
Murphy began his career with Leeco Steel in August 2024 as a Sales Representative in the north region at the company’s Oshkosh sales office, which he has served most recently.
“As Leeco’s processing business continues to grow, it is exciting to see the evolution of our commercial processing team,” said Jason Fredstrom, executive vice president. “We look forward to supporting John as he steps into this role and helps drive new processing opportunities.”
Faverty joins Leeco with nearly 30 years of steel industry sales, processing and business development experience. Most recently, he held leadership roles focused on processed parts sales and business development, where he led sales teams, developed customer relationships and drove growth in processing-related business.
