Metallic Building Co. announced the successful completion of its 2012 National Sales Meeting, “Building Together.” Nearly 200 Metallic Builders, employees and guests attended the event, held March 7-10, 2012 at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Fla.
Metallic Building Company President Delvin Warner named Mike Rozier Construction Co., Greenwood, Miss., as Metallic’s 2011 Top Volume Builder of the Year during the awards banquet.
Warner explains, “Mike Rozier has been a fiercely loyal Metallic partner for more than 18 years and during that time has purchased an astonishing 400 Metallic buildings. Previously, this family-owned and operated general contracting business had never before captured Metallic’s top volume award. They had many years of coming ‘this close’ – but ‘no cigar.’ Well, that all changes tonight.”
Rozier also earned an Award of Excellence in Metallic’s Design Build Competition for Southern Tire Mart in Biloxi, Miss.
The overall winner in the 2011 Metallic Design Build competition was the Nason Medical Clinic, constructed by Frampton & Associates and located in Charleston, S.C. The building earned the title of Building of the Year by vote from builder peers.
The 9,000 square foot building houses a large reception area, a nurses’ station, two x-ray rooms, a lab, an 82-sdat waiting area and a covered drive-through for pick-ups and drop-offs.
The waiting area and reception area feature a 29-foot ceiling with large windows on four sides that provide the area with plenty of light and a great open feel. On the ground level are large 12-foot high windows on three sides with automatic sliding entry doors.
The exterior is finished with a 6-inch metal stud curtain wall with brick up to the tower. The fascia on the tower has column reveals and protruding cornices on three sides. The Double-Lok® standing seam metal roof is equipped with gutters and downspouts on the low side and has a custom metal awning over the metal walk doors.
Frampton & Associates renovated the original Nason facility, then built three new buildings and currently have a fourth under construction. All of the new buildings have a similar look, but with different exterior finishes — some have stucco, some brick, etc. One of their earlier clinics was also a previous Metallic Building Company Building of the Year winner. Frampton & Associates have been buying Metallic Buildings since 1997, and have been exclusively with Metallic since 2003.
