Velux has opened an Experience Center in Mountain View, Calif.—the company’s first in North America.
Located at 312 Castro Street, the center boasts interactive exhibits, fully designed living environments, educational displays, and personalized consultations to help architects, builders, remodelers, roofers, designers, and homeowners better understand how natural light, ventilation, and skylight technology can improve wellness, comfort, and home design.
“This Velux Experience Center represents an exciting new chapter for our company,” said Stephan Moyon, president of VELUX America/Canada.
On September 18, the Experience Center is hosting an open house from 3 pm to 7 pm, featuring live music, a photo booth, guided tours, appearances by guests Shavonda Gardner and the Renovation Husbands, and the chance to win two Velux skylights.
OEO Studio from Denmark was the conceptual designer. The architect for the project was DERN Architecture + Development, while Hillhouse Construction Company managed construction.
Velux skylights are made in Greenwood, S.C., and Wells, Maine.
