Every other year, A. Zahner Co., Kansas City, Mo., sponsors a design competition among the sculpture students at the Kansas City Art Institute. The winning pieces are then fabricated pro bono by A. Zahner. This year’s three winning designs, judged by an independent panel of art experts, were Anna Buckthorepe (Domestic Geometry), Joey Grimm (Directed Futures) and JordanJohnson (Holy House). The completed pieces are included in KCAI’s Art and Design Auction on June 6 to raise funds for student scholarships. For images and video of the three winning sculptures, visit www.azahner.com/auction.
