The Aluminum Extruders Council, Wauconda, Ill., has expanded its Web site with the addition of more pertinent aluminum extrusion industry information and tools. The site now features a new device developed to facilitate discussion of product design expectations between aluminum extruders and their customers. The Extrusion Design and Performance Reliance Guide is based on the Performance Reliance Matrix created by the council’s technical services committee. The council has published this interactive guide to help extruders communicate with customers about product performance characteristics that might be influenced by process variables associated with extrusion operations.
