The American Institute of Architects (AIA) gave honorary membership to six people for exemplary service to the architecture profession. Honorary members are:
Zurich Esposito, Hon. AIA
Nadav Malin, Hon. AIA
Nancy Nasher, Hon. AIA
David Haemisegger, Hon. AIA
Joseph Simonetta, Hon. AIA
Julie D. Taylor, Hon. AIA
Honorary AIA membership is given to people who made notable contributions to the advancement of the architecture profession but are not otherwise eligible for membership. To be considered, a person must meet all of the criteria to be eligible and be nominated by either members of the AIA board of directors, strategic council, chapters or knowledge communities. Nominations are reviewed and decided by a jury. Complete details of each recipient’s contributions can be viewed on AIA’s website. In June, AIA will celebrate the honorary members at its Conference on Architecture 2018 in New York City.
