Butler Manufacturing, Kansas City, Mo., has updated Events two online courses offered through AEC Daily, according to Kevin Hutchings, Butler Manufacturing training manager. Each course is eligible for one AIA Learning Unit toward the 18 LUs annual requirement. “As of January 1, 2009, four of the total 18 CES Learning Units required in a given calendar year are required to focus on sustainable design. Both Butler courses apply to the sustainable design requirement,” Hutchings said. “Life Cycle Costs of Metal Roofing Products” provides an overview of the types, characteristics and benefits of metal roofing products and finishes. Content includes an objective comparison of life cycle costs of metal roofing versus conventional roofing systems. Updates include life cycle factors of cool roofs and how they qualify metal roof systems as a sustainable design feature. (www.aecdaily.com/en/1588021)
