The W. P. Hickman Co., Asheville, N.C., began labeling all Hickman products tested and classified by Underwriters Laboratory on April 1. The Hickman products that have been specifically engineered and tested to meet the requirements of the ANSI/SPRI ES-1 Wind Design Standard for Edge Systems Used with Low-Slope Roofing Systems, required by the International Building Code will now be embossed for identification. The miters of UL Classified Hickman products will be embossed on the roof-side back leg with “HICKMAN R25074 UL CLASSIFIED ES-1.”
