Fans feature upper-room UV lighting system

Greenheck Fan Corp.’s line of AMPLIFY overhead HVLS fans incorporate Northern Light UV-C technology. The design combines the air cleaning benefit of upper-room UV lighting with air circulation capabilities of overhead fans. The upper-room UV lighting system helps control airborne pathogens in medical facilities and is recommended by the CDC and ASHRAE. For effective inactivation of pathogens, Northern Light technology uses non-ozone generating UV-C bulbs inside fan blades toward blade tips where the majority of air movement occurs.
