Custom self-storage framing used for hotel

Completed in April 2009, the 46,000-square-foot (4,273-m2) Swiss Chalet Best Western Hotel in Pecos, Texas, was built using custom self-storage framing from American Buildings Co., Eufaula, Ala., inside concrete tilt wall panels. In addition to the metal building, American Buildings supplied its Loc-Seam 360 metal roofing panels in Evergreen. The project’s heavy timber construction at the entry area resulted in the entire structure being rated non-flammable.

Hans Schlunegger, Kerrville, Texas, was the architect; Euro-Tex Architectural Engineering LLC, Ingram, Texas, was the general contractor; and Watson Exports Inc., Hunt, Texas, was the builder.
