The 285,000-square-foot facility features three separate theaters, classrooms, administrative offices, production and support areas, restaurants and a multilevel parking garage. Influenced by the size, scale and silhouette of the neighboring historic mills, the theater also features a bridge-like cantilever that projects out to near the edge of the bluffs over the park and waterfalls, offing a panoramic view of the river valley.
CENTRIA supplied its Formawall Dimension Series metal wall panels and Formavue Windows for the project to enhance the theater’s integration with the industrial building landscape of the Mississippi waterfront. The project utilized various amounts and thicknesses of CENTRIA’s Formawall Dimension Series panels, including: 105,000 square feet of 3-inch smooth panels; 15,000 square feet of 2-inch smooth panels; 2,600 square feet of 3-inch striated panels; and 1,000 square feet of 2-inch striated panels. Additionally, CENTRIA supplied 27,000 square feet of its Versawall factory-foamed wall panels and 22,000 square feet of its Style-Rib exposed fastener profile panels for the exterior. The panels were coated in custom Guthrie Blue and Fluorofinish Grey and clad in metallic dark-blue and silver-colored graphics screen printed onto the surface, the Formawall Dimension Series metal panels appear to recede into the sky at dusk.
Around the front exterior, Firestone Metal Products Inc. supplied its 0.125-inch UNA-FAB Aluminum Series 4000 panels in a custom Guthrie Blue PVDF finish. Additionally, CENTRIA supplied 22,000 square feet of its Style-Rib Exposed Fastener Profile panels and 27,000 square feet of Versawall panels in Grey, along with its Formavue 400 window system, and C/S Louvers from Construction Specialties Inc.
