The new
Star Motor Cars in Houston was constructed to house prestigious car brands including Aston Martin, Volvo, Lotus, Maybach and Mercedes- Benz. The architects designed the facility’s exterior façade to be as contemporary, chic and high-end as the cars inside. Every aesthetic aspect of the building, from the pristine white finish to the smooth, sharp angles and articulate landscape, harmonize with the elegant and exclusive products and services the dealership provides to its customers.
Moon Township, Pa.-based CENTRIA supplied 16,171 square feet (1,502 m2) of its 22/26-gauge Formawall Dimension Series 2-inch (51-mm) wall panels in Regal White with an embossed Fluorofinish coating, in addition to C/S Louvers. The Formawall Dimension Series panels provide a sleek exterior look to the facility, aligning with the project team’s goal of creating a modern, high-end design, and are Cradle to Cradle Silver certified. The C/S Louvers help eliminate exhaust from the cars stored on the facility floors.
Boatman Design Build Inc., Houston, was the architect and general contractor; Wade Architectural Systems, Humble, Texas, was the dealer; and Byrne Metals Corp., Porter, Texas, was the installer.
