W.S. Tyler Contributes to Unique Building Facade for LAPD

The recent completion of the new Los Angeles Police Department Headquarters’ parking structure features a unique facade that is made with stainless-steel woven wire mesh supplied by W.S. Tyler. The stainless-steel woven wire mesh was smartly used to “veil” the parking structure. A series of undulating panels, with a custom colorful leaf pattern, were designed to enhance the surrounding neighborhood. The intent of the architect, JFAK Architects, was to “allow the building to breathe, provide security, and contribute to the transformation of the area as a home to the arts.” The facade was installed by Metallon Specialties Inc. W. S. Tyler provided assistance for the project from the design stages to final installation. For additional information on W. S.
