Curtainwalls and storefront systems featured in Metal Architecture’s March 2020 issue.

CRL-U.S. Aluminum
CRL-U.S. Aluminum’s 4500 SG series structural silicone glazed curtainwall is a 1-inch glazing system for low- to mid-rise buildings. It is thermally broken and a pocket reducer is available for 1/4-inch glazing. The exterior glazed curtainwall has a captured glazed vertical mullion and no pressure bar. It features an integral UNIflash System that sweeps infiltrated water to the exterior.

Kawneer Co. Inc.
Kawneer’s 1620UT and 1620UT SSG Curtain Wall Systems can be used for a traditional captured look, or two-sided vertical SSG mullion style with greater uninterrupted sightlines. They have a 2-inch sightline, and use concealed fasteners in joinery construction to create flush and unbroken sightlines. The curtainwalls have an engineered polymer thermal separator and accommodate 1-inch insulating glass.

Tubelite Inc.
Tubelite’s 400 4-Side SSG Cassette Series glazing system is for building envelopes in low- and mid-rise commercial curtainwall applications. The aluminum-framed, factory-fabricated and factory-glazed system is field installed into the curtainwall grid with 2.5-inch interior sightlines and the strength of variable-depth back members in sizes from 5 5/8 to 10 inches. The cassette system allows for Tubelite’s glass-to-edge glazing, accommodating 0.25-inch-thick glass to triple-glazed units, without the need for captured perimeter members. It also features pivot-and-slide head and jamb anchors, and rollover dead-load sill anchors for fast and accurate installation.

YKK AP America Inc.
YKK AP America’s YWW 50 TU and YWW 60 TU are 5-inch- and 6-inch-deep window wall glazing systems for multistory applications. They have shop-glazed and field-glazed options, and optional slab-edge covers. The window walls have inside, outside and structural silicone glazing (SSG) options, and a screw spline assembly.
