Metal Construction News (MCN) is now accepting entries for its 40th annual Project Excellence Awards, recognizing outstanding achievement in metal construction across the United States.
Architects, contractors, manufacturers, and project teams are encouraged to submit their best work for consideration.
“For 40 years, the Project Excellence Awards have recognized innovation, craftsmanship, and excellence in industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential construction,” says MCN editor Anthony Capkun. “Winning projects showcase the versatility and performance of metal in today’s built environment.”
Projects may be entered in one of seven categories:
- Metal Building Systems (additions or retrofits)
- Metal Roofing (new construction)
- Metal Roofing (retrofit)
- Metal Walls (new construction)
- Metal Walls (retrofit)
- Metal Craftsmanship
- Modular Buildings (new!)
In addition to category winners, one project will be selected as Best Overall—the program’s highest honor.
Eligibility
- New industrial, commercial, institutional, or residential construction projects completed—or with the metal portion completed—after January 1, 2026.
- Industrial, commercial, institutional, or residential projects completed after January 1, 2025 that were entered in the previous year’s competition but did not receive an award.
Projects will be evaluated by representatives of the metal construction industry and winners will be featured in the December 2026 issue of Metal Construction News and will receive a commemorative award plaque.
The deadline for entries is September 11, 2026.
