Holy Trinity, Carmel, Ind., utilized 5,048 square feet of 0.040-inch (1-mm) thick custom Gold aluminum standing-seam panels from Firestone Metal Products Inc., Anoka, Minn., for the dome. The coating is Flurpon Classic II HS Gold Metallic Kynar finish. M.G. McGrath, Maplewood, Minn., fabricated and installed the custom Gold aluminum standing-seam into domes, crosses and dormers. The monumental gold dome measured 52 feet (16 m) and weighed more than 50 tons (45 metric tons). CJK Design Group, San Francisco, was the architect, and SHIEL Sexton Co., Indianapolis, was the general contractor.
