The 2026 Women in Leadership Summit will take place near the Kansas City Power & Light District.

Founded by the American Institute of Architects, the Women’s Leadership Summit is dedicated to advancing women into leadership roles in architecture, design, and allied building industries. The 2026 summit will be held November 1–3 in Kansas City, Mo., at the Loews Kansas City Hotel. Registration is now open.

Programming for this year’s summit includes Kansas City tours highlighting civic spaces, women-designed projects, arts districts, adaptive reuse, sports, and multimodal infrastructure. Sessions will address leadership, ownership, licensure, career advancement, and firm culture, along with equity in practice and design-focused topics such as reuse, climate action, purposeful spaces, and AI’s effect on practice.

The event also presents networking opportunities, including speed mentoring, roundtables, dine-arounds, book signings, and a celebration event.

Registration is open to all AEC professionals. Special rates are available to AIA members.
