American Buildings, based in Eufaula, Ala., announced the winners of its 2024 Excellence in Design Awards. The competition is designed to highlight the diverse application and expanding boundaries of the metal buildings industry.
Each year, American Buildings hosts the Excellence in Design Awards competition for all authorized American Builders. This year, judges chose from over 130 entries and selected the best projects in each of the following categories: agriculture; auto dealership; church/religious centers; commercial; government/institutional; manufacturing/industrial; office; recreation; retail; special projects; transportation; and warehouse/distribution.
Recognized in each category were winners, first and second runners-up, and honorable mentions. The winners from each category were then nominated to compete for the top award: 2024 Building of the Year.
“We’re delighted to showcase the skill and innovation of our Builders through the 2024 Excellence In Design competition,” says Carlie Smith, marketing director at Nucor Buildings Group, a division of Nucor Corp., based in Charlotte, N.C., which owns American Buildings. “These award-winning projects are as beautiful as they are functional, demonstrating the versatility of metal buildings in today’s competitive and fast-paced construction industry. This year, submissions were strong in many categories, including transportation, manufacturing/industrial, and government/institutional markets. Our builders never fail to impress us with how they utilize our building systems with style and creativity.”
