The 17th annual Global Insulation Conference and Expedition will be held Oct. 16 to Oct. 17 in München, Germany. The event is planned to examine insulation market trends, technological development in insulation, and insulation production advances.
RIMA International (RIMA-I) announced it is sponsoring Dr. Hamed Saber, of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, to give a guest keynote presentation: “Evaluation of the Thermal Performance of Reflective Insulation Assemblies.”
Saber is professor of mechanical engineering at Jubail Industrial College in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. He is also chair of the research and consultations department at the Deanship of Research and Industrial Development, Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.
Saber has worked at the Institute for Space and Nuclear Studies and Chemical and Nuclear Department at University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, N.M., and National Research Council of Canada in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Saber’s areas of interest include building science, building envelope and structure, heat, air and moisture transport in building envelopes, computational fluid dynamics, static energy conversion using thermoelectric phenomena, electronic cooling, and numerical modeling using finite element methods, fire safety and fire performance in houses.
