Plantation Financial Center is a new 27,000-square foot (2,508-m2), three-story building anchored by the Plantation Federal Bank Branch Office in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The building is all concrete and steel with an Englert Series 2000 standing-seam metal roof from Perth Amboy, N.J.-based Englert Inc. Upstairs tenants include a Federal Bureau of Investigation field office and a Northwestern Mutual Financial Network Group retail sales office. The third floor has three private balconies for tenant use. The building is situated in one of the fastest growing professional areas in town, literally up the street from the beach, and adjacent to banks, shopping centers, restaurants and tourist areas.
Englert’s 24-gauge, 16-inch- (406-mm-) wide standing-seam roof panel in Medium Bronze was chosen to match the aesthetics of the building’s brick exterior and to provide protection against corrosion from the salt air. The 10,000-square-foot (929-m2) roof was installed by Spann Roofing & Sheet Metal, Conway, S.C. Graham Group Architecture, Pawleys Island, S.C., was the architect, and Harrington Construction, Charlotte, N.C., was the general contractor.
