Designed to LEED Silver standards, the arena utilizes a heat recovery system to maximize energy efficiency.

PBK Architects, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, was the architect; Ellis Don Corp., Halifax, Nova Scotia, was the general contractor and erector; and J.W. Lindsay Enterprises Ltd., Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, was the builder.
