The new 68,000-square-foot (6,317-m2) Ramsey Municipal Center in Ramsey, Minn., houses the city hall, police and fire department administration, and conference areas and meeting rooms for civic organizations. The mixed-material structure features curved clerestory roofs clad in RHEINZINK Graphite- Gray Double-Lock standing-seam panels from RHEINZINK America Inc., Cambridge, Mass.
The project utilizes 8,000 square feet (743 m2) of 22-gauge, 0.3-inch (0.8-mm) Preweathered Graphite-Gray UC-3 Double-Lock standing-seam roof panels fabricated by Firestone Building Products Co., Indianapolis, and installed by M.G. McGrath, Maplewood, Minn. The project also features 2,000 square feet (186 m2) of a RHEINZINK louver screen wall that was fabricated and installed by M.G. McGrath. Atomic Sheet Metal, Vadnais Heights, Minn., fabricated and installed the RHEINZINK coping.
BKV Group, Minneapolis, was the architect, and 3D/I, Minneapolis, was the general contractor.
