Brock Associates, Pittsburgh, fabricated 10,000 square feet of Perth Amboy, N.J.-based Englert Inc.’s 18-inch-wide, 0.032-aluminum Series 2000 standing seam metal roof panels with striations in Terra Cotta for St. Joseph The Worker Church, New Castle, Pa. Steel Valley Roofing and Sheet Metal Inc., West Middlesex, Pa., left the original metal roof on the church and installed polyisocyanurate roof insulation board between the flutes, over the old roof, and used bearing plates to install the new panels.
Kenneth Roos, Pittsburgh-based architect, designed St. Joseph The Worker Church, a brick building built in 1962 with a contemporary design that seats 900 people. Florida Consulting, Pittsburgh, the architecture firm for the project, recommended the metal roof panels for the project, completed in June 2014.
