Bridgeport, Conn., built a new $23 million state-of-the-art bus terminal as an integral part of it’s Intermodel Transportation Center. The Bridgeport Transportation Center features 17 bus bays and a 10,000-square-foot (929-m2) passenger terminal that physically links to railroad platforms. The transportation center is designed to integrate a variety of existing and proposed bus, commuter rail, ferry, taxi, automobile and pedestrian transportation modes in a single facility. The architect used 10,000 square feet of 0.3-inch (0.8-mm), 22-gauge preweathered blue-gray RHEINZINK Flat Lock Tile by Cambridge, Mass.-based RHEINZINK America Inc. Bertaux & Partners Architects, Boston, was the architect on the project and Barrett Roofing, Danbury, Conn., was the metal fabricator and installer.
