On-site Curving Provides Architectural Advantage

The City Centre Transit Terminal in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, is a 9,800-square-foot (910-m2) project that encompasses one main terminal building, three canopied shelters and one free-standing structure. R-Mer Span Structural Standing-Seam roofing by The Garland Co. Inc., Cleveland, was used for the project. The main terminal used 114 panels of 18-inch- (457-mm-) wide, 52-foot- (16-m-) long, 22-guage Galfan steel in Slate Blue for its half-barrel roof.

The canopies and free-standing structure utilized 42 panels of 18-inch- (457-mm-) wide, 14 1/2-foot- (4-m-) long, 22-gauge aluminum in Slate Blue. Glos Associates Inc., Windsor, was the architect on the project and Gulf Construction, Windsor, was the general contractor. Gillett Sheet Metal Inc., Kingsville, Ontario, was the metal contractor.
