Red roof calls attention to hotel

Completed in February, the 12,000-square-foot (1,115-m2) Best Western Canyon Pines is located in Uinta, Utah, about 1 mile
(1.6-km) south of Odgen. Skiing, kayaking, skating and boating are some of the available activities. The hotel features a red roof that offers an aesthetically pleasing appearance against the Wasatch mountain range in the background. The roof is Houston-based MBCI’s 12-inch- (305-mm-) wide LokSeam standing-seam roof panel system. The 24-gauge Galvalume panels are coated in the MBCI Signature 300 Series (PVDF) paint system in Crimson Red. The snap-together system features a 1 3/4- inch- (44-mm-) high vertical leg.

Randy Bailey Architect, Draper, Utah, was the architect; Saunders Construction Inc., Ogden, was the general contractor; and Raymond Keller Construction Inc., Woods Cross, Utah, was the installer.
