Sleek lines for racing complex achieved with metal panels

The Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas is one of the most complete racing complexes in the world. The 58,600-square-foot (5,444-m2) state of-the-art media center is made of three levels to accommodate race fans and members of the media. The first level consists of a lounge area, a large meeting room and direct access to pit road. The second level provides media members with a view of the start/finish line and contains room for statistic sheets and schedules. VIP suites and a roof access center are on the third level, while fans can watch the race on television screens in workrooms.

Completed in August 2007, Moon Township, Pa.-based CENTRIA supplied 11,764 square feet (1,093 m2) of 22/26-gauge 3-inch (76-mm) horizontal Formawall Dimension Series metal wall panels in Platinum with a smooth Sundance Mica coating, in addition to 2,270 square feet (211 m2) of 22/26-gauge 2-inch (51-mm) horizontal Formawall Dimension Series metal wall panels in Platinum with a smooth Sundance Mica coating for the project. The horizontal panels on the media center, combined with the ample windows, create a sleek and modern look for the building.
