St. Michael Catholic Church in Garden City, S.C., seats 1,200 worshippers and is only four blocks
from the ocean. The architect was LS3P Neal Prince Architects, Greenville, S.C., and Metalcon Inc.,
Wilmington, N.C., was the roofing contractor. The 22,000-square-foot church and 2,000-square-foot
vestibule for overflow features 30,000 square feet of 0.04-inch aluminum, 16-inch-wide Tite-Loc Plus
panels in Dark Bronze, and 2,000 square feet of 0.040-inch, 12-inch-wide Flush Soffit panels in Dark Bronze from Petersen Aluminum Corp., Elk Grove Village, Ill. Additionally, the PAC-CLAD system
meets negative load uplift requirements.
