The entrance at James Madison High School features building materials in colors that reflect the school colors, blue and red. Aluminum panels in a blue color that gradually increases in saturation as the building ascends are offset by reddish masonry walls in Huitt-Zollars Inc.’s design.
Vogler Sheet Metal Inc. installed 1,000 square feet of Móz Designs’ Aluminum Terrace Wall Panels in custom Gradient Digital Blue. Móz Designs produced the panels with 4-foot by 8-foot and 4-foot by 10-foot sheets of aluminum. The project utilized 55, 0.09-inch-thick, aluminum panels including four, 38-foot-tall fins, each comprised of eight panels. The fins and lap joints were formed with 1/8-inch aluminum.
