Eufaula, Ala.-based American Buildings Co. designed steel to support 55-foot-tall rock climbing walls at Triangle Rock Club in Morrisville, N.C. The project comprises more than 84 tons of American steel and more than 35 tons of climbing wall steel installed by Boulder, Colo.-based Eldorado Climbing Walls over 350 cubic yards of concrete. The exterior of the rock climbing facility, completed in July 2014, features geometric shapes on panel rib with natural stone accents.
Ron Cox Architecture PA, Raleigh, N.C., was the architecture firm for the project. Raleigh-based Annis Building Corp., an American Buildings builder, used American Buildings’ Rigid Frame system, Standing Seam 360 metal roof system and Architectural V-Rib metal wall panels for the 18,630-squarefoot athletic facility.
