Private Residence, Shreveport, La.

shreveport_residenceThe Shreveport, La., private residence is owned and designed by Mrs. J. Houston Bosley, who modeled the home after the Smithsonian Historical Richard’s Home in Columbia, Miss., which was built in 1836. In keeping with the historical integrity of the time period, Oliphint Enterprises, Bossier City, La., installed 16-inch, 24-gauge Medallion-Lok standing seam roof panels in a Patrician Bronze Kynar finish from Bossier City-based McElroy Metal Inc.

Despite the historical inspiration for the home, the residence features a modern solar panel system installed by Shreveport-based Freedom Solar. The system features Dublin, Ga.-based Mage Solar Projects Inc.’s Mage 185 solar panels with a solar edge invertor, attached to the roof by S-5! clips from S-5! Attachment Solutions, Colorado Springs, Colo., which were provided by McElroy.
