Stafford Hospital in Stafford, Va., is an innovatively designed, patient-centered hospital. Alsip, Ill.-based Doralco Architectural Metal Solutions’ COMPOSITEcore division was commissioned to clad key elements in the façade with its proprietary wet joint composite panel system. Doralco supplied 22,000 square feet (2,044m2) of ACM cladding on the building’s canopies, fascia, soffits and cantilevered windows.
Ellerbe Becket Architects, Washington, D.C., was the architect; Whiting-Turner Contracting Co., Baltimore, was the general contractor; and Trainor Glass Co., Alsip, Ill., was the glazing contractor.
