Completed in 2008, the new 28,000-square-foot (2,601-m2) West Hempstead Public Library in West Hempstead, N.Y., features a main reading room, children’s library, community room, staff and municipal parking areas. The project featured 10,003 square feet (929 m2) of Dutch Seam (MRD194) metal roof panels and 3,250 square feet (302 m2) of multipurpose panels (MPV120 Soffit). ATAS International Inc., Allentown, Pa., supplied the 0.032-aluminum material in Silversmith. KG&D Architects PC, Mount Kisco, N.Y., was the architect, and Marjam Supply Co., Farmingdale, N.Y., was the distributor.
