Metal components make multipurpose fieldhouse

The Parker Fieldhouse in Parker, Colo., is a 100,000-square foot (9,290-m2) facility featuring sports turf, batting cages, gymnasiums, inline rink with Sport Court flooring, climbing wall, elevated track, fitness loft and an indoor playground.

The facility, which has partially exposed galvanized columns and x-bracing, was built with a metal building, roof and wall system from Chief Buildings, Grand Island, Neb. The remainder of the framing was electrocoated through Chief’s proprietary dipping process. Chief also supplied AP wall panels and standing-seam LTC roofing panels in Cherokee and Silver Metallic. Additionally, Louisville, Ky.-based Metal Sales Manufacturing Corp. supplied IC72 exposed fastener wall panels in Silver Metallic.

Sink Combs Dethlefs, Denver, was the architect; R.C. Heath Construction, Fort Collins, Colo., was the builder; and J.P. Erectors, La Salle, Colo., was the steel erector.
