In August 2007, the 177,546-square-foot (16,494-m2) East Jackson County Comprehensive High School in Commerce, Ga., received a new roof. Architectural Metal Systems, Eufaula, Ala., supplied a Loc-Seam 360 roofing system in Evergreen. BASF, Florham Park, N.J., provided the 70 percent PVDF resin supplied as Kynar 500 or Hylar 500 coating system. The project garnered the roofing contractor, Bowen & Watson Inc., Toccoa, Ga., an Architectural Metal Systems Excellence in Design Award in the category of Roof of the Year. Southern A&E, Austell, Ga., was the architect.
