To address the growing demand for sunshade applications for storefronts, Kawneer Co. Inc. introduced its Trifab SunShade. As an easy-to-install option for the company’s Trifab 451 and Trifab 451T Storefront framing systems, Trifab SunShade combines energy conservation and aesthetics to enhance the beauty and sustainability of a building’s façade. Trifab SunShade is pre-engineered and easily assembled using screw spline joinery, then attached to a channel that is bolted to the Trifab vertical mullion, resulting in a 30-inch projection that provides generous shade to buildings of all sizes. Trifab SunShade also reduces solar heat gain on the glazing, which lowers cooling costs. Trifab SunShade can accommodate different color options with anodized and fluoropolymer painted finishes in a variety of colors. Solvent-free powder coatings add another green element to the Trifab SunShade with high performance, durability and scratch resistance that meet the standards of the American Architectural Manufacturers Association 2604.
