Monroe County needed to replace an aging shingle roof on the courthouse in Forsyth, Ga., that was failing. The county wanted to maintain the historical look of the structure that was originally built in the 1800s. Extensive decking and fascia replacement was also required for the project. Petersen Aluminum Corp., Elk Grove Village, Ill., supplied 11,000 square feet (1,022 m2) of 16-ounce Revere Copper Snap-Clad 16-inch (406-mm) panels and flat stock for the project. The use of copper from Revere Copper Products Inc., Rome, N.Y., met the design requirements while providing a lifetime-plus roof for the building.
Raymond Engineering Inc., Conyers, Ga., was the roofing consultant, and The Lathan Co., Mobile, Ala., was the roofing contractor.
