Vibrant panels enhance exterior makeover

A combination of silvery, perforated metal panels and bright red, corrugated metal panels contribute to a welcoming exterior on Westfield Ninth Grade Center in Houston.

Layers of silver colored, perforated panels shade curtainwalls at the first and second floors. The panels are also a backdrop for the school’s signage. At the building’s base and roofline, bright red, corrugated panels accent the design.

The renovated exterior was part of a project that converted a former middle school, which now houses a dance studio, media center and fitness center.

To build a shade canopy above the front entrance, PRC Roofing Co. installed Petersen Aluminum Corp.’s ribbed, perforated aluminum 7.2 panels in PAC-CLAD Charcoal. PRC also installed Petersen’s 7.2 panels in PAC-CLAD Charcoal and custom Scarlett, without perforations, around the building.
