Completed in August 2007, the 110,000-square foot (10,219-m2) manufacturing, assembly, research and design facility features the main administration and shop administration areas for National Oilwell Varco, Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada. The project utilized a LRFM1 and LRFM2 metal building by American Buildings Co., Eufaula, Ala. The project also features a 70 percent PVDF resin paint system supplied as Kynar 500 or Hylar 500 by BASF, Florham Park, N.J. The building includes an elevated walkway between crane systems to half the building, in addition to a state-of-the-art communications and security system. Bexson Construction Ltd., Lloydminster, was the general contractor and designer.
