The 43,940-square-foot (4,082-m2) Triple W Equipment in Missoula, Mont., is a John Deere implement dealership that includes 12,350 square feet (1,147 m2) of covered exterior show canopy, 18,000 square feet (1,672 m2) of office space and 25,940 square feet (2,410 m2) of shop space.
The builder used two framing systems from Memphis, Tenn.-based Varco Pruden Buildings- the Rigid Frame and Continuous Beam-on the structure that features lean-to canopies on four sides. The building also includes Varco Pruden’s SSR roof and Vee Rib walls, painted in the special John Deere corporate colors of green, black and yellow. The shop houses two 7 1/2-ton (6 3/4-metric ton) cranes.
Completed in March 2009, the facility included clerestory windows and block wainscots that are 8 feet (2.4 m) high in the shop and 4 1/6 (1.3 m) in the office. James Hoffmann & Associates, Missoula, was the architect, and Hop Construction, Missoula, was the builder.
