Metal composite material clads packaging facility

Process Plus LLC designed a 30,000-square-foot office building and 80,000-square-foot packaging facility for Forest Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Cincinnati. Celina Glass Co. Inc. fabricated and installed approximately 12,360 square feet of Citadel Architectural Products Inc.'s clear anodized Panel 20 metal composite material panels on the façade of the office building, which was completed in May 2014.

Justin Rolfes, of Celina Glass, says his company worked on the project for four months. "There were a lot of corners, a lot of angles where three or four panels were coming together," he says. "That was the only real challenging part, but if it's installed correctly, it will go together just like it's supposed to."

Bill Hladio, architect at Process Plus, says a representative from Citadel Architectural Products provided details that improved the installation process. "We had originally planned to go with a different product," he says. "Fortunately our [representative] was able to offer us the Panel 20 system from Citadel at a significant savings. That allowed us to keep the look we wanted and take that money and float it into other parts of the project."
