Judging Criteria
Competition entries will be judged by a panel of industry experts. They collectively will determine the winners for all categories based on entries’ respective merits, including overall appearance, significance of metal to the overall project appearance, innovativeness of material use, significance of metal to achieving project objectives, and quality of accompanying photography. Projects may be judged in multiple categories, but no project can be named a winner in more than one category.
Those projects eligible for entry in the Metal Construction Association (MCA) awards program will be judged by a panel comprising architects and metal construction industry leaders. This panel will assess entries based on overall design excellence, innovative use of metal in design, and significance of metal in the overall project. The winning submissions will be promoted on social media, MCA’s website, and the November issue of Metal Architecture magazine.
