Accurate Perforating has added a new member to the management team, Chris as Director of Operational Excellence. Chris has over thirty years of experience in a variety of different industries including automotive, aerospace, food manufacturing, and printing, in a variety of different roles from Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, Program Management, Consulting and as a Lean specialist. Chris’s experience in Lean Manufacturing spans some twenty years, the last fifteen of which as a dedicated Lean practitioner.
Chris has a strong background in training and implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniques through Kaizen Blitz projects. He has designed infrastructures for complete Lean systems, as well as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), 5S and Quality Improvement programs. Mr. Abrey has facilitated many cross functional team projects to achieve strategic objectives. Utilizing a variety of quality improvement techniques and Six Sigma methodologies including; Brainstorming, Fishbone/Ishikawa diagrams, Pareto Analysis, CEDAC, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), to identified root cause of product defects, process issues, and equipment downtime issues. Chris also has significant experience managing processes to identify and eliminate waste across an organization including HR, Quality, Finance, Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving and Sales. Chris brings his experience in ISO quality processes and procedures, such as APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, Gage R&R, Process capabilities, Time studies and SPC. Chris has recently gained a Lean Bronze Certification through SME, AME, ASQ and Shingo Prize. He also contributed to a Lean Handbook that was recently published for the Lean Bronze certification program.
Chris’ key objective at Accurate will be to establish the infrastructure to sustain Lean and Continuous Improvement activities. Chris is working with all levels of the company to manage the change through training, education and communication, and initiating Lean activities throughout the organization. Chris will be a key asset to the company.
