The FLS Canopy Co. is changing leadership this month as founder Gene Smith, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passes the company to his son, Dan Smith. Smith will run the business from Milwaukee.
FLS’ iconic advertising presence has long featured a heavy set man, “Max”, atop an FLS metal canopy. Max will remain in advertising as a sturdy example of how strong and rock-solid FLS’ canopies are. FLS canopies are offered in many lengths and colors to serve multi purposes and complement existing building architecture.
In a new initiative, FLS invites customers to supply photos that portray the sturdiness of their canopies. Selected photos will be considered for future advertisements and all photos will appear on FLS’ web photo gallery.
