Woburn, Mass.-based RHEINZINK has received an ASTM standard specification for rolled zinc. The designation is ASTM B69-11. RHEINZINK received both a Type I and Type II approval from ASTM for its two alloys. Type I is for Pre-weathered Blue-Gray and Bright Rolled Zinc. Type II is for Graphite-Gray Zinc. RHEINZINK America is currently the only zinc manufacturer with a Type II designation.
