3A Composites USA, Mooresville, N.C., All three Internet-based sites are designed to provide easy access to Alucobond product information as well as to promote discussion within the architectural community. The new web site – www.AlucobondUSA.com – provides product and technical information describing Alucobond aluminum composite material (ACM). Alucobond ACM is installed as building cladding on exterior walls and on design elements such as entrances, canopies, column covers and interiors. Additionally, Alucobond plays a role in brand imaging as it is utilized to create corporate identity signage. Visitors to www.AlucobondUSA.com can both see and read about these product applications in the site’s “Case Histories,” “Gallery” and “Newsroom” sections. Detailed technical information – including descriptions of product colors and surfaces, finish systems and attachment methods – is provided, with product literature and technical information available for download. This updated product information reflects that printed in the new “Alucobond Color Selector Guide,” which describes a blend of timelessly classic, inventoried colors as well as 39 new custom-ordered shades in the Alucobond line. New to the Alucobond USA Web 2.0 site is access to Alucobond representatives via an interactive map feature as well as a blog/FAQ forum in which registered VIP members can post questions for response by Alucobond representatives and participate in forum discussions. (VIP membership is open to all visitors who register on the site and log in.) With the launch of the new web site’s blog/FAQ forum, 3A Composites USA has opened community discussion about Alucobond in the architectural community.
