LAKE FOREST, IL– MEGASky Next Generation Nano-Cell Unit Skylights from CPI Daylighting provide double the insulation, daylighting and light diffusion of traditional double-glazed, acrylic units. Glazed with Pentaglas 12 standing seam, NanoCell translucent polycarbonate, MEGASky’s built-in diffuser and anti-glare matte finish provide unparalleled light diffusion, delivering up to 50% light transmission with an R-4 insulation value. Energy savings, durability and ease of installation are fundamental components of the MEGASky system. The large skylight surface area allows for extra daylighting, while fitting conventional 4-ft. and 5-ft. bar joists with standard skylight lengths of 10-ft., 12-ft. and 14-ft. Unlike smaller acrylic unit skylights, MEGASky requires fewer roof penetrations for installation, thus reducing the potential for leaks and saving on construction costs. No need to sacrifice aesthetics for safety and longevity—MEGASky complies with OSHA life-safety standards without the traditional obstructive metal cage. Tested for 350-ft.-lb. large missile impact, 500 ft.-lb. impact loading, 90 psf live load and 200 psf wind uplift load, MEGASky provides superior performance. MEGASky provides excellent fire performance as well, with a CC1 burn extent rating for self supporting plastics and a Class A flame spread rating. MEGASky comes with a manufacturer’s warranty covering delamination, hail damage and loss of light transmission for up to 10 years.
