GKD Metal Fabrics
GKD offers all of its metal fabric in the Bronze collection. The Bronze collection can be clear coated to retain a bronze tone or left unfinished so a patina will develop. GKD also offers five new metal fabric weaves: Choptank weave, Ellipse 52 aluminum weave, Helix 36 aluminum weave, Ripple weave and Tigris TC-3 weave. Choptank is a dimensional square weave pattern with small open area. Ellipse 52 has tight dimension, Helix 36 is lightweight and Ripple looks like ripples on water. Tigris TC-3 has a triplet of warp wires spaced along a straight weft and woven along a crimped horizontal wire.
New Metals Inc.
New Metals offers expanded metal in sheets and coils in a range of materials including aluminum, carbon steel, hot-dipped galvanized steel and stainless steel. Standard sheets are 4 feet wide by 8 feet long, and can be cut to size and finished. Standard diamond opening sizes vary from 0.5-inch to 1.33-inch for the short way of diamond (SWD) and 1.27-inch to 3.15-inch for the long way of diamond (LWD).

Spantek Expanded Metal
Spantek’s Secure-Span clips attach Secure-Span expanded metal to studs behind drywall to provide security to facilities vulnerable to break-ins. The expanded metal and clips can also be installed in ceilings and floors. The clips have recessed center holes where fasteners are seated and the expanded metal can be installed with the diamonds running either direction. Per 4-foot by 8-foot panel with 16-inch stud spacing, 24 clips are recommended.
